4 STRAIGHT W'S

4 STRAIGHT W'S

The Hornets are now 4-0 on the season after beating Cerro Coso College 69-39 at home Wednesday night.

Both teams came into the game with undefeated records of 3-0, but it was Fullerton's deep bench that proved too much outscoring the Coyotes 34-18.

Cerro Coso may have won the opening tipoff, however FC did not waste any time grabbing an early 14-3 lead that was capped off by a three-pointer by Kobe Newton. By halftime, the Hornets pushed their lead up 35-16.

Fullerton controlled the remainder of the game taking their biggest lead of 34 late in the second half.

It was a game in which FC dominated the paint outscoring Cerro Coso 32-10, while out-rebounding them 43-29.

Gaven Ramirez led Fullerton with a game-high 16 points and 4 rebounds. Javon Jones wasn't too far behind with 12 points with 5 rebounds, and Kobe Newton was good for 9 points with 4 boards. Chazz Hutchison chipped in with 7 points and 4 rebounds.

Up Next: Fullerton (4-0 overall) will host another game next Tuesday, November 23rd when the Hornets welcome Santa Monica College. Tip-off is at 6:00 pm.
