SAN FRANCISCO – The City College of San Francisco men's basketball team will be heading to a familiar place.

Thanks to its 114-75 rout over No. 9-seeded Los Medanos College on Saturday in Round 3 of the Northern California Regionals, the top-seeded Rams have punched their ticket to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships for the sixth consecutive season.

The top four teams from the North and South regions will compete at the three-day state tournament that gets underway on Friday (Mar. 11) at West Hills College Lemoore in the Central Valley.

Ticket prices for the state championships at West Hills Lemoore's Golden Eagle Arena are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Advanced tickets are now available for purchase online at the CCCAA website.

As the North's No. 1 seed, CCSF will take on South No. 4 seed MiraCosta College on Friday at 5 p.m. | State Championships Bracket

The Rams at 29-1 overall enter the tourney with the state's best record and will face the Cinderella of the CCCAA in MiraCosta. The Spartans entered the postseason as the South's No. 21 seed and a 14-14 record. But MiraCosta won three straight playoff games, including victories over No. 5 Santiago Canyon College and No. 4 San Diego City College to earn its spot at the state championships.

The Rams won their 25th consecutive game with Saturday's victory over Los Medanos. CCSF opened up with a 14-5 lead before taking a 54-30 advantage at halftime. The Rams poured it on in the second by putting up 60 points.

Devan Sapp (pictured) led CCSF with 22 points while Ezekiel Holman had 19 points. Naseem Gaskin and Matthew Williams both scored 16 points each.

The Rams look to win their fifth state championship overall after winning titles in 1962, 2011, 2016, and 2018. CCSF was 30-0 heading into the 2020 state tournament but the event was cancelled near the start of the COVID pandemic.
