The Cougars received 30 points from Christopher Bradford while Virgil Mahoney pulled down 14 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as College of the Canyons narrowly lost a 76-75 road contest at Glendale College on Wednesday.

The 30-point output from Bradford came on an 8-of-12 shooting night. The freshman also converted 14-of-15 from the foul line, adding six rebounds and three steals along the way.

The 14 rebounds from Mahoney was the freshman's second highest total of the season and represented the ninth occasion he has reached double digit totals. He also had four blocks, two steals and nine points in the game.

COC sophomore Jah-Kez Moore added eight points and eight boards off the bench. 

Canyons (9-14, 2-9) and Glendale (6-19, 1-10) played a back-and-forth ballgame throughout. 

The Vaqueros took a 36-35 lead after the first half with the two squads then equaling each other with identical 40-point outputs in the second half. 

Glendale reserve Joel Finney hit a jumper late in the final period that ultimately put his team over the top. Finney finished the game with a team-high 19 points.

Canyons, which was playing with an eight-man rotation, netted just 15 points from its reserves compared to 39 from Glendale's bench. COC also struggled with the long ball, making only 1-of-12 attempts from three-point land. The Cougars did however make 24-of-27 from the foul line, buoyed by Bradford's big night.

COC had previously defeated Glendale by a 79-69 final score back on Jan. 18.

With three games left on the schedule, Canyons is slated for a road contest at Citrus College at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

The Cougars will wrap its home schedule vs. West L.A. College at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb.19 with a brief 'Sophomore Night' ceremony taking place before tip-off.
