Three-Point Barrage Carries Warriors Past Pasadena

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College scored an 84-63 victory over Pasadena in a non-conference tilt Monday evening at the ECC Gymnasium.

The Warriors (2-19) went bananas from beyond the arc on Monday, hitting 15-of-34 from distance to score the runaway victory over the Lancers (1-19)

Four players scored in double figures for the Warriors with Massimo D'Amato leading the charge with 17 points on 6-for-8 shooting and 4-of-5 from 3-point range. He also grabbed eight rebounds and added three assists.

Elliot Kerley scored 14 points and Emilio Alvarez added 13 with Landon Gregg recording a double-double off the bench with 14 points and 11 rebounds. He also had two blocked shots and three steals in 25 minutes off the bench.

For the Lancers, Devan Ford led the way with 23 points and Nathaniel Carter added 18 points in the loss.

The Warriors led by as much as 25 points on Monday as they outrebounded the Lancers 41-33. The Warriors also dished out 23 assists as a team on 29 makes and got 29 points from their bench with Pasadena just getting five points of production from its reserves.

Monday's game was a make-up game for the originally scheduled contest on Dec. 17, 2021, which was postponed due to health and safety protocols.

The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday night at the ECC Gymnasium as they welcome Compton for a South Coast Conference tilt. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
