Roadrunners Outlast Trojans, 73-61

Oroville, Calif. - Four Roadrunners posted double-figure performances to lead the Butte men's basketball team to a 73-61 win over Skyline on Thursday afternoon.

Freshman Marvelous Owens led the team with 15 points off the bench, adding eight rebounds. Sophomores Ozzy Meadows, Isaac Wood, and Keaton Massey scored 14, 13, and 10 points, respectively. Meadows and Massey each counted six boards, while freshman Anthony Montoya led the team with four assists and a pair of steals.

The Roadrunners overcame a six-point halftime deficit, outshooting the Trojans 46.2 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from beyond the arc comparatively to Skyline's 37.1 shooting percentage and 10.5 percent from three-point range.

Butte (8-9) open Golden Valley Conference play on Saturday, Jan. 7 at Feather River. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
