Despite a hot start the MiraCosta men's basketball team couldn't hold on for the win against Miramar College.  The Spartans started the game with a 15-0 lead but with a flurry of three point shots the Jets battled back and took the lead.  MiraCosta received strong play from freshman center Aleks Pocej who finished the game with 15 points, 10 rebounds and two steals.  Cody Hicks also added 17 points.  Point guard Xavier Allison finshed the game with 13 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

Miramar College made a total of 18 3-point shots for a total of 54 points, making it hard for MiraCosta to retake the lead.

The Spartans have a bye on Wednesday and then will host College of the Desert for Spirit Night on Saturday, February 3rd at 4PM.
