Canyons Dealt 84-77 Road Loss at Chaffey College

RANCHO CUCAMONGA – College of the Canyons received a combined 38 points from Jonah El-Farra and Dillon Barrientos, but it wasn't enough as the Cougars fell 84-77 at Chaffey College on Saturday.
Canyons (3-3) trailed by as many as 13 points in the first half but continued to shoot well going 14-of-28 in the period. That helped the Cougars get back to within striking distance at 44-36 headed into the break.
The second half of play saw El-Farra start to really light it up as he would score 13 points down the stretch to add to his eight from the first half. El-Farra finished the game shooting 10-of-16 for and paired that with six rebounds.
Barrientos finished with a 6-of-16 shooting night and a pair of three pointers to end the game with 17 points, a block, and four rebounds.
Andrew Henderson led all reserves in minutes played at 28 and points with 14 on a 5-of-9 shooting performance. He also added two blocks and six rebounds.
Chaffey (4-1) was led by Miguel Robles with 21 points on a 6-of-12 shooting night. Panther starters Brody Davis and Jozelle Carter ended with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Upcoming Schedule
College of the Canyons will return to action hosting Long Beach City College on Tuesday Nov. 29 at the Cougar Cage. Tip-off is set to begin at 5 p.m.
The Cougars will then host San Diego Mesa on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m
