The Long Beach City College basketball team fell to the Compton College Tartars 93-85 on Wednesday evening in the Hall of Champions.
The Vikings put up a strong effort in their latest matchup, with multiple players contributing on both ends of the court. Despite their balanced attack, they came up short in a tightly contested game.
Lawrence Brown led the team with 19 points, shooting 7-of-16 from the field while adding four rebounds and three assists. Mason Pacheco Robinson provided a big spark off the bench, scoring 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting and dishing out three assists. David Garcia was a key playmaker, tallying 15 points, six rebounds, and six assists while shooting an efficient 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Kason White added 12 points and was solid at the free-throw line, making 4-of-5 attempts and Major Hurley contributed 10 points, three rebounds, and four assists while playing strong defense with three steals.
"It was a tough loss," said Head Coach and Director of Basketball Operations Barry Barnes. "We are going to continue to compete and finish the season strong."
The Vikings look to travel to LA Southwest on Friday, February 14 at 1 p.m.
