Falcon men defeat Cuesta for 3rd straight win!

The Folsom Lake men's basketball had to demonstrate some flexibility on Friday, when their weekend tournament games were scrambled due to storms in the Sierras.  Instead of facing tournament host West Valley, the Falcons faced Cuesta - their scheduled opponent for Saturday - on Friday afternoon.  The schedule change did not seem to faze the Falcons, though, as they led wire-to-wire in the 30-point win over Cuesta, 95-65.  Five Falcons scored in double figures, led by freshman big man Dane Johnson's 22 points.  Guard Cameron Wall tallied 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting, and Jqylen Solich & Pierce Rexford both added 17 points.

Unfortunately, the Falcons did not get to play a second game in the tournament due to weather-related road closures in the Sierras, preventing one of the tournament participants to cancel their trip.

The Falcons concluded their non-conference schedule with three straight victories and will enter Big 8 Conference play with a 6-5 record.  They'll open their Big 8 schedule at Cosumnes River (9-3) on Wednesday night (Dec 22) at 7:30 pm.
