CSM MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM MATCHES BEST RECORD IN STATE

With a 66-56 victory at Modesto JC on Tuesday evening, College of San Mateo matched the best season opening record of any of the CCCAA’s 100 men’s basketball teams -- at 7-0, to complete its November schedule. Only West Valley College in the other Coast division (South) had equaled that mark.

ONLY 1 OF CALIF’S 100 MEN’S BASKETBL TEAMS BETTER THAN 6-0 CSM

Among the 100 men’s community college men’s basketball teams in California, only one has a better record entering this week than 6-0 College of San Mateo – which needed overtime to beat Contra Costa, 80-78, and sweep its pair of weekend games at the CSM Classic over the weekend. Coast South league member West Valley College won both of its games at College Heights to go to 7-0 on the season.
