Coaches Association Announces All-State Team
Brown of San Francisco City and McCoy of San San Diego City named Players of the Year; Labagh and Spencer Coaches of the Year
The CCCMBCA announced today the 2017-18 All-State Team. Sophomores Terrell Brown of San Francisco City and San Diego City’s Robert McCoy were named the state players of the year. In all, 27 players we honored by the coaches’ association with all-state honors. McCoy led the Knights with a 17 point per game scoring average. Meanwhile, Brown paced the Rams with 15.9 per game average.
Orange Coast’s Steve Spencer who coached his Pirates to the Orange Empire Conference title, its first men’s basketball championship in 40 years, and a spot in the state tournament was named the south’s coach of the year, while Justin Labagh of San Francisco City was named the north coach of the year for the second consecutive year.
