West Valley, San Francisco, Sequoias and San Jose Earn the North's Top Seeds
Regional tournament begins on Wednesday
Undeafeted West Valley College, champions of the Coast-South, has been selected as the north's top seed for the Northern California Regional Tournament, which begins on Wednesday. The Vikings are trying to become the fifth undefeated men's program to win a state championship. Head coach Danny Yoshikawa would join an elite group.

San Francisco City, champions of the Coast-North, won its 13th consecutive conference championship and will be trying to make its 19th Final Eight championship tournament. The Rams are a four-time state champion, its last coming in 2018, alll under current head coach Justin Labagh. Five times have finished as the the runner-up. San Francisco City lost to Fullerton in last year's state championship game, 83-73.
Sequoias earned the No. 3 after ralling to share the Central Valley Conference title with Columbia. The Giants (23-5) have won seven straight headed into post-season play. Sequoias will be trying to make its second consecutive 3C2A Final Eight tournament. Sequoias lost to Citrus in a first-round game at the state tournament. San Jose City, runner-up to West Valley in the Coast-South, enters the post-season 21-7 and on a four-game win streak. The Jaguars will be trying to make a second consecutive Final Eight appearnace.
