Fullerton, San Diego City, Mt. San Antonio, Chaffey Earn South's Top Seeds
Regional tournament begins on Wednesday
Fullerton, champions of the Orange Empire and the defending state champions, received the south's top seed for the 2024 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament. It is the Hornets' third strsight year as the south's No. 1 seed and their four in the last five years. Fullerton (24-4) enters the tournament, winners of 17 of its last 18 games. San Diego City, champions of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference comes into the tournament 24-4 and riding an eight-game win streak. Mt. San Antonio, which begin the season unranked, won the South Coast-North title and is 25-3 and have won nine of its last 10. Chaffey, champions of the Inland Empire Athletic Conference, like Mt. San Antonio was unranked in the preseason. The Panthers have been an offensive juggernaut, averaging 102.4 points per game.
The opening round games willl be held on Wednesday at 7 pm, unless there is a doubleheader with a college's women's team. Check the Daily Schedule for game times tomorrow.
