Highlights From Games of November 8

Santiago Canyon 90, Chaffey 82 - Santiago Canyon sophomore guard Kai Smith was the catalyst for the Hawks' offense. Playing all but two minutes, Smith dropped a team-high 22 points on a 9-for-19 night. It is his second-consecutive game that he surpassed the 20-point threshold. Smith also handled a pesky Chaffey press with poise that only saw him commit a pair of turnovers. He added six rebounds, two assists and one steal in the process. Freshman guard Tony Colley joined Smith in double-digit scoring as he flushed an even 20 points. He earned a double-double on the night by grabbing 11 rebounds. Sophomore guard Joey Longo was a monster on the boards as he grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with 12 points for a double-double. Nine of his points came at the charity stripe. Additionally, he added three blocks, two of which came in the final two minutes on potential three-point shots. Sophomore guard Isaiah Arthurton banged home 14 points in 34 minutes of action and led his team from long range. He went 4-for-5 on the night. Freshman guard Trevor Manning was the fifth and final double-digit scorer as he flushed 10 points in a supporting role. Chaffey was led by Marcus Green, who came off the bench, with 19 points.
Reedley 77, Modesto 73 — Reedley had four players score in double figures, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers fell to Modesto. Teammates Matt Ruegge scored 19 points, while Kyriuan Davis added 18. Kecian Primes came off the bench to add 13 points.
Fresno City 79, Oxnard 63 — Fresno City had 11 players score, led by Jalen Royster who had 19 points (and 8 rebounds). Teammate Brian Carter added 15 on 6 of 19 shooting. Oxnard, which trailed by 11 poinjts at the half, got 18 points from Daniel Ortiz and 14 from Noah Del Rio Sanchez.
Santa Ana 94, El Camino 90 — El Camino's Billy Ray Barnes III scored 30 points and grabbed 14 renbounds, but it wasn't enough as Santa Ana's Kaden Minter and Cam Johnson scored 28 and 23 points, respectively in the Don's win.
Bakersfield 77, Santa Barbara 63 — Bakersfield had two players, Malik Petty and Andrew Hill come off the bench to score 20 and 10 points, respectively. Starters Elijah Williams and Trevon Perry also scored in double figures, 15 and 10. David Coniglio led Santa Barbara with 13 points.
